Terms of use
Sunny Hearts Club · Last updated 25 August 2026
Print our sheets as much as you like for your own family or your own class. Do not sell them and do not give the files away — that includes courses you generate yourself. If you want to use Ruler Golf commercially, ask us. We usually say yes.
That is the whole of it, and the rest of this page is the same thing said carefully. When you buy, download, generate or play with anything from this site, you are agreeing to what is below.
Who you are dealing with
Ruler Golf is made and sold by Sunny Hearts Club, a family business in Queensland, Australia. When this page says we, that is who it means. When it says the sheets, it means anything you get from us — a fixed edition, a course you generated, the free holes, all of it.
If you are agreeing to this on behalf of a school or a business rather than for yourself, we are taking it that you are allowed to.
What you are buying
Files, not paper. Everything is a PDF you print yourself, so the paper, the ink and the laminating pouch are on you. Nothing gets posted.
Fixed editions download the moment you have paid. Generated courses take a minute or so to design and we email you when yours is ready.
What you can do with the sheets
Print them as often as you want, for the people in your house. If you teach, or run a scout group or a Sunday club, print them for the children in your own class or group. Laminate them. Keep them forever. Take them camping. None of that needs asking.
What you get is permission to use the sheets, not ownership of them, and that permission is yours rather than something you can hand on.
What you cannot do with them
Do not sell them, rent them, lend the files, or pass them to anyone outside your household or your own class — paid or free, printed or as a file.
Do not put them anywhere other people can get them: not a website, not a shared drive, not a teacher-resource or worksheet site, not a group chat, not social media.
Do not fold them into something else you supply — a bundle, a kit, a course, a party package, a subscription.
Do not print them to sell, or use them in a paid camp, class, venue or event, unless you have asked us first.
Do not redraw them, adapt them, or rub out the Ruler Golf name or any code printed on a sheet. Do not scrape the site or try to pull the course designer out of it.
Courses you generate count as our sheets too. Pressing generate makes a course for you to use; it does not make it yours to sell or share. Everything on this list applies to a generated course exactly as it applies to one we drew.
If you want to do one of those things
Ask. If you want to run Ruler Golf at a paid holiday programme, print a class set for a whole school, or put it in something you sell, email us and we will sort out a licence. We would far rather be asked than find out.
What stays ours
The sheets, the site, the Ruler Golf name and logo, and the software that designs the courses all remain ours. Buying a sheet gets you the permission described above and nothing further.
Your account
What you own is tied to the email address you used at checkout. There is no password to forget — you type your address, we send a link, the link signs you in once and then stops working. That does mean anyone who can read your email can get into your account, so look after it.
On the unlimited tier you can generate nine courses a day, which is a full round. The cap is there to stop somebody draining the whole catalogue in an afternoon, not to ration ordinary play.
If an account is being used to resell or republish the sheets, we will close it and withdraw access to what is on it.
Paying
Prices are in Australian dollars, shown at checkout. Shopify handles the payment — your card number never touches this site and we never see it. Their terms apply to that part of it.
Refunds, and your rights either way
Nothing on this page takes away any right or guarantee you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot legally be taken away. If something written here would have that effect, it does not apply. Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded, including that they will be of acceptable quality and will do what we said they do.
Beyond that: a downloaded file cannot really be handed back, so we do not do change-of-mind refunds once you have downloaded a sheet or generated a course.
But if a file will not open, arrives corrupted, is not what the page said it was, or you paid for a course that never turned up — email us. We will replace it or refund you, and we will not make it difficult.
When the site is not working
We try to keep it up and cannot promise it always will be. At busy times a course you asked for may sit in a queue for a while.
Download links go stale on purpose, for security. Sign in and download again whenever you need to — what you have bought stays on your account.
We may add worlds, change them, or stop selling an edition. Anything you have already bought stays yours to download.
Playing it safely
It is paper, a ruler, a die and a marker pen. It suits children from about six, with the ordinary adult judgement you would apply to a small plastic die and a pen near a good tablecloth.
Ruler Golf is a game first. There is real adding, subtracting and measuring in it and children do tend to get quicker at all three, but it is not a teaching programme and we are not promising a particular result for a particular child.
How far our responsibility goes
Except where the Australian Consumer Law says otherwise — and it often does — if something goes wrong on our end, what we owe you is to supply the sheets again or refund what you paid for them, whichever suits. We are not responsible for indirect or flow-on losses beyond that.
If we change this page
We may update these terms. Whatever was published here on the day you bought something governs that purchase, so a later change cannot reach back and alter what you already paid for. If a change matters for something you already own, we will email you about it.
The legal housekeeping
Queensland law applies and the courts of Queensland can hear any dispute, though not exclusively. If you are buying from another country, that does not strip you of consumer protections your own law gives you regardless.
If any part of this page turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. If we let something slide once, that does not mean we have given up on it.
